Allez Cuisine!

Last night Adam and I had a little cook-off with my family! It was a little spin off of the Food Network's Iron Chef TV show.

Each couple competed to bake/cook one of four courses. It was actually pretty cool because right after they released what dish we would cook with a special ingredient we had 30 minutes to plan out what we would make. Then we had an hour or so to make it.

Adam and I came out on top with our well-plated, fresh approach to Parmesan stuffed chicken! It was such a great date night--I totally recommend it. http://www.classycuisine.com/

Hare Krishna Festival of Colors

For the last few years I've wanted to visit the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, but never got around to it. So when I heard about this year's Festival of Colors I marked it in my planner and committed to go.

The afternoon was fun. The temple was really pretty. We were surrounded by a large amount of people, and actually Llamas. There was belly dancing, effigy burning and the traditional throwing and smearing of colors, which symbolizes bringing in spring and throwing out winter. Obviously, there are a lot more details but that about sums it up. It was good to mingle with friends of another faith.

Enjoy the pictures.

Family Book Club

Just wanted to let everyone know that there are two copies of "The Wayward Bus" sitting in our living room. I even made a trip to the Orem Public Library for the first time since high school to get it! We started it last night, and are excited to read more about the adventures of Johny Chicoy and "Sweatheart." I hope everyone's aboard...
